DoD pursues information-sharing framework

Herndon, Virginia-based McDonald Bradley, Inc. announced it has been selected to perform
an interoperability study for the Department of Defense that will “define a future information-sharing
framework to serve the needs of the armed forces”.

The study will identify what is needed to create a Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) family of systems across DoD using a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach. A goal of the study is to achieve improved information sharing of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
